Lloyd G. Lamperski, M.D.
Dr. Lloyd G. Lamperski is Board Certified in internal medicine, physical medicine and rehabilitation with a subspecialty in pain medicine, providing him with excellent qualifications for his responsibilities with Advanced Pain Medicine, which he assumed in 2004.
He is a member of the Advanced Pain Medicine staff of physicians who examine each new patient and then manage and monitor the effectiveness of chronic pain treatment plans. He received his bachelor's and M.D. degrees from the University of Pittsburgh, serving his internship and residency in the Department of Internal Medicine at Mercy Hospital.
For over 20 years, Dr. Lamperski maintained a private practice in internal medicine in the Pittsburgh area and also served as a physician advisor for Highmark Blue Cross.

Richard S. Plowey, M.D.
Dr. Richard S. Plowey, M.D., is a board certified interventional pain specialist and neurologist. Dr. Plowey earned his undergraduate degree in neuroscience at the University of Pittsburgh, his medical degree and masters in public health from Drexel University, and he completed his neurology residency and interventional pain management fellowship at the University of Miami. Dr. Plowey’s strong background in the neurosciences and his extensive training in both pain medication management and interventional pain management strengthens his commitment to the accurate diagnosis and appropriate management of a wide array of pain disorders. Dr. Plowey joined the staff at Advanced Pain Medicine and several Pittsburgh-area hospitals in 2008. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Pain Society and the American Academy of Neurology.
Hairong Peng, M.D.
Dr. Hairong Peng is a UPMC fellowship trained interventional pain management physician. Dr. Peng completed his residency in general surgery at the Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center and his anesthesiology redidency at the Western Pennsylvania Hospital. Dr. Peng's extensive research on the muscular-skeletal system has enhanced his understanding and appreciation of the complexity of most chronic pain syndromes.
Matthew Hansen, M.D.
Dr. Matthew Hansen is a fellowship trained interventional pain management physician and board certified anesthesiologist. Dr. Hansen earned his undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering at Johns Hopkins University. After receiving his medical degree at Jefferson Medical College, he completed his residency training in anesthesiology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School. He then went on to serve as chief fellow during his training in pain medicine at the Clevelend Clinic. An active researcher and writer, Dr. Hansen is contributing author to Interventional Pain Medicine and Understanding Pain: What You Need to Know to Take Control.
